City of Lloydminster Utility Bills - Change of Display of Information

The City of Lloydminster has implemented a new financial accounting package that allows us to provide a more detailed explanation of the charges on your utility bill.  The new program was implemented in late December, 2009.  The utility bill is still printed on the same form and basically provides all the same information.

The rates for garbage collection, bluebox collection and recycling services remain unchanged since 2007, however our current utility billing software allows us to show the charges separately, which we were unable to do, prior to this year. 

The City of Lloydminster currently provides two separate curbside collection services.  The current rates for these services are provided in Bylaw 11-2007 (please click here to review Bylaw 11-2007).

Garbage collection is provided by Quik Pick Waste Disposal Ltd. of Lloydminster.  The charge to each single-family residence is $11.00 per month which includes approximately 4 collection dates per month, in addition to the operational costs of our landfill.

Blue Box collection for recyclable materials is provided by Bea Fisher Enterprises, a local non-profit organization in the City.  A separate charge of $3.00 per month per single-family residence includes approximately 4 collection dates, in addition to the operational costs of the recycling depot. 

All other properties are charged a fee of $2.00 per month to defray the operational costs of  the recycling depot.
