Property Tax Pre-Authorized Debit Plan Agreement
Lloydminster property owners now have new payment options for their future property tax bills. By completing a Property Tax Pre-Authorized Debit (PAD) Plan Agreement before Monday, June 15, 2015, property owners can choose one of the following three payment plan options for the 2016 property tax period:
  • Fixed Payment: Property owners authorize the City to debit their account by a fixed dollar amount monthly.
  • Monthly Payment: Property owners authorize the City to debit their account an amount based on 8.5 per cent of the current year levy.
  • Annual Payment: Property owners authorize the City to debit their account the full balance owing on the due date (June 30).

Monthly payments for 2016 property taxes will start in July 2015. Please note, a manual payment may be necessary prior to the last business day in June to bring the property tax account to a zero balance.

Anyone interested in using one of these new methods of payment for the 2016 property taxes must complete the PAD Plan Agreement and attach a void cheque, and return both items in person or by mail to:

Withdrawing from the PAD Plan Agreement
The PAD Plan agreement will remain in effect until the City of Lloydminster has received written notification (cancellation form) from the property owner of its change or termination. This notification must be received by the Finance Department at least 10 business days before the next debit is scheduled.

Reimbursement Claim
Should property owners be eligible to receive reimbursement for any PAD that is not authorized or is not consistent with their PAD Agreement, they must complete the Reimbursement Claim. For more information about reimbursements, contact your financial institution or visit www.cdnpay.ca.
