Facilities Master Plan
The City of Lloydminster is working to complete a Facilities Master Plan serving the future requirements of residents and user groups.

WSP Canada has been retained by the City to conduct a Facilities Master Plan (FMP), evaluating the current status and long-term needs for recreation, culture, education and emergency services facilities throughout the community. Beginning June, 2015 and concluding in Summer 2016, the FMP will include participation from user groups, Lloydminster residents, Mayor and Council and Administration.

The study will examine a variety of opportunities surrounding Lloydminster’s facilities, with a focus on:

  • Public feedback on current facilities
  • Identifying potential barriers, gaps and opportunities
  • Cost estimates for renovations or modifications to current facilities
  • 25 year plan to fulfil Lloydminster’s facility requirements

“Our facilities must remain efficient and responsive to the needs of our community,” said Don Stang, Director of Community Services. “This assessment provides our user groups, the community at-large and partners with the opportunity to have input and shape the future of our facilities and the services they provide.”

Members of local advisory boards or community organizations who wish to be involved in the study may contact Peter McHugh, General Manager, Facilities at 780-871-8335.
