What is a Police Information Check?

A Police Information Check (PIC) is a detailed criminal and police history, or confirmation of the absence of any information, based on the personal information provided. The results will be provided on a Lloydminster Municipal Detachment Service form. This check is based solely on Canada-wide information.

Requirements to Obtain a Police Information Check:

Please note that Vulnerable Sector searches will only be completed for local residents. If you are not a Lloydminster resident, you will need to contact the police agency in your local area.

Individuals must attend in person to the Lloydminster Municipal Detachment, 5106-44 Street, Lloydminster, Alberta. Two pieces of government identification must be provided upon application which states your full legal name, date of birth and current address.

Suitable photo identification cards are:

• Provincial Drivers Licence
• Passport, Citizenship Card
• Motor Vehicles Registry Photo Identification Card
• Native Status Card
• PALS

Other suitable identification includes:

• Birth Certificate
• Alberta/Saskatchewan Health Care Card
• Immigration Document
• Marriage Certificate
