Lloydminster AB/SK – The Town of Drumheller’s mayor will be in the Border City tomorrow to honour a year-long obligation to the Mayor of Lloydminster.
In June 2018, the Town of Drumheller lost out to the City of Lloydminster in a closely contested vote for Canada’s 2017 Most Rider Friendly Community; a good-natured competition initiated by Community Futures offices across Canada.
As part of the competition, Mayor Gerald Aalbers and Mayor Heather Colberg agreed that the winning community would put the other’s mayor to work cleaning local roadways.
On behalf of the City of Lloydminster, residents, and local motorcycle enthusiasts, Mayor Gerald Aalbers invites residents and members of the media to greet Mayor Colberg as she honours her ‘debt’ to the City of Lloydminster.
Interviews and photo opportunities will be available at the City of Lloydminster Operations Centre (6623 52 Street) at 9 a.m., Wednesday, July 19, 2019.
