Lloydminster, AB/SK – Trails and sidewalk users within the city are asked to provide input regarding values, experiences and future opportunities within the city’s trail and sidewalk network.
The City of Lloydminster will begin the first of four phases of the Trails and Sidewalk Master Plan on Thursday, May 28, 2020, which will help strategize for future requirements of the city’s off-street network.
“Community input will be vital as we continue to expand and enhance the city’s pedestrian infrastructure,” said James Rogers, Senior Manager, Capital Infrastructure. “Our goal is to develop a plan that enhances safety and will benefit the residents, business owners, regional visitors, and tourists for both existing infrastructure and proposed infrastructure.”
All residents are encouraged to complete the survey at yourvoicelloyd.ca/trails. Through the survey and mapping tool, respondents will have the opportunity to provide feedback on:
- the value of trails and sidewalks;
- essential network elements;
- current usage;
- current issues; and
- future opportunities.
The survey is open from May 28 to June 18, 2020, at yourvoicelloyd.ca/trails. Included in the survey is an interactive tool, allowing participants to identify specific areas within the network of trails and sidewalks.
Due to COVID-19, no in-person consultation will be held for the first phase. Residents can provide additional feedback by emailing yourvoice@lloydminster.ca or viewing the project webpage – yourvoicelloyd.ca/trails.
