City Manager’s Office
1. Council voted in favour of providing the Lloydminster Region Housing Group with a letter of support for a funding request to the Lloydminster Region Health Foundation.
Community Development Services
1. Council approved the following recommended Saskatchewan Lotteries Community Grant Allocations totalling $10,814 and authorize the Community Services Advisory Committee to reallocate any unused or returned grant funds:
- $4,814 to Catholic Social Services – for Summergration;
- $4,000 to Catholic Social Services - for Black History Month 2024;
- $2,000 to the Heart of Treaty 6 - for Reconciliation Reads Book Club.
2. Council appointed Mike Sidoryk to the 2024 Saskatchewan Summer Games Host Society.
Operations
1. Council approved the application for the Fascia and Awning signs to be installed on the building located at 4210 70 Avenue, legally described as Lot 1, Block 2, Plan 982-5313, in the DC3 - Direct Control 3 District, subject to the conditions as per Schedule A outlined on page 37 of the council agenda dated June 5, 2023. Additionally, Council delegated the Development Officer to review and approve any future Fascia or Awning sign permit applications that are within the DC3 - Direct Control 3 District provided they meet the regulations set forth in the Land Use Bylaw 5-2016 and are listed as a Permitted Use.
2. Council approved Administration to commit $71,800 from the Equipment Fleet Reserve (1-300-312-37111) to 2023 Capital Budget Project No. 2371250. Additionally, Council approved the award of the contract for the 16’ Mower Purchase to Oak Creek Golf & Turf of Calgary, Alta., in the amount of $216,000, excluding GST, to be allocated from the 2023 Capital Budget Project No. 2371250. In addition, Council approved a contingency allowance of 5% in the amount of $10,800, excluding GST, to be allocated from the 2023 Capital Budget Project No. 2371250.
3. Council approved Administration to commit an additional $140,000 from the General Government Capital Reserve (Account No.:1-100-130-35110) to the 2023 Capital Budget Project No.: 2342006. Additionally, Council approved the increase of the contract amount of ASL Paving Ltd. of Lloydminster, Sask., in the amount of $140,000, to be allocated from the 2023 Capital Budget Project No.: 2342006 and that the City Manager be authorized to sign all necessary documents associated with Change Order No.: 02.
