All licensed realtors have equal opportunity to promote and sell City-owned land and real estate. Realtors may either sell Land Division land or represent a purchaser in the transaction. The City pays real estate agent fees upon closing, based on the total purchase price in the Sales Agreement, at the following rates:
To receive payment, real estate agents must submit an invoice for their fees to Land Division after the sale closes. All transactions are carefully governed by legislation, policies and strict check and balances to ensure transparency and fairness. Additionally, no commission or other incentives can be earned by City employees. |
