Lloydminster, AB/SK – The second phase of the concrete intersection at Highway 16 (44 Street) and 62 Avenue is complete, allowing crews to focus on paving the highway between 62 Avenue and 75 Avenue.
To accommodate the paving operations and material transport to the site beginning Thursday, October 21, 2021, motorists may experience intermittent delays at the intersection of Highway 16 and 62 Avenue.
Asphalt paving is expected to extend into the week of October 25, 2021, with pavement markings to follow directly behind paving operations, weather permitting.

Open for traffic - 62 Avenue north of Highway 16:
- Westbound traffic can turn north onto 62 Avenue
- 62 Avenue southbound traffic can turn west onto Highway 16
Please note, 62 Avenue southbound traffic is not permitted to turn east onto Highway 16. Motorists must use the 59 Avenue detour routes.
