Lloydminster is a lot of things – Canada’s Border City, Heavy Oil Capital of Canada, a place to stop on the Yellowhead highway between Edmonton and Saskatoon but most of all Lloydminster is a growing, vibrant community-minded home to more than 26,500 residents and service centre to 110,000 persons.

Nearly 50 per cent of the population in Lloydminster is under the age of 30, and our city boasts one of the highest personal gross income and disposable income levels in either province. Lloydminster provides opportunities for business and industry as well as investors and entrepreneurs.

There are many things to see and do in the City, making Lloydminster a great tourist and event hosting location. With a state of the art Exhibition Complex, supported by a strong hospitality sector, we are carving out an undeniable niche in the areas of event and conference tourism. Recreational activities, including sports and cultural events, remain a strong part of Lloydminster.
