Lloydminster Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) works with local organizations to help connect people to resources, build meaningful partnerships and provide programs that build resiliency and community capacity. We administer a number of grants that fund community and support organizations.

Family and Community Support Services Grant Funding

The Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) Grant Funding is a source of financial assistance for non-profit community organizations provided by the Province of Alberta. The funds are to be used to enhance and enrich preventative programs and services within the City of Lloydminster.

View the Government of Alberta website for more information about FCSS.

  • Review the FCSS Grant Funding Guidelines to learn more about the program, eligibility and submission requirements.
  • Review the FCSSAA "What is Prevention" which outlines prevention and community development as it relates to the FCSS Program, including the different levels of prevention.
  • Review the Program Advice Inventory Listing (PAIL) which provides detailed information about the eligibility or non-eligibility of programs. Use this tool to determine if your program qualifies for funding.
  • Consult the FCSS Measures Bank as all applications must be in alignment with a strategic direction, outcome, indicator, and measure question from the FCSS Measures Bank. Programs that target the general community, adults, or families would use the FCSS Measures Bank. Provincial Priority Measures are preferred.
  • Programs that target children and youth must use the FCSS Children and Youth Measures Bank as all applications must be in alignment with a strategic direction, outcome, indicator, and measure question from the FCSS Measures Bank. Provincial Priority Measures are preferred.

The call for 2021 applications is now closed.

Saskatchewan Lotteries Community Grant Program

The Saskatchewan Lotteries Community Grant Program assists in the development of sport, culture and recreation programs by providing funds to non-profit community organizations operated by volunteers.

  • It allows communities to establish local priorities; and It stipulates that all participating groups, from administration to beneficiary, are responsible for ensuring complete and accurate accounting

The goal of the program is to get people involved in sport, culture and recreation activities by enabling communities to address the needs of local residents. This program is a partnership among Sask Sport Inc., SaskCulture Inc. and the Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association Inc. and is administered by the City of Lloydminster.
