The City of Lloydminster administers a number of grants that fund community and support organizations.
Downtown Lloydminster Event Grant |
If you are a downtown business or non-profit organization that is interested in hosting an event in downtown Lloydminster then you could be eligible to receive funds. Complete the Downtown Lloydminster Event Grant Application from August 11, to September 9, 2022. There will be two intakes per year for this grant. This intake is for events between October and May 2023. The next intake will be for summer events. |

Family and Community Support Services Grant Funding |
The Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) Grant Funding is a source of financial assistance for non-profit community organizations provided by the Province of Alberta. The funds are to be used to enhance and enrich preventative programs and services within the City of Lloydminster. View the Government of Alberta website for more information about FCSS.

Saskatchewan Lotteries Community Grant Program |
The Saskatchewan Lotteries Community Grant Program is placing a second call for applications with priority given to programs that encourage sport, culture or recreation for underrepresented populations such as but not limited to 2SLGBTQ+, Indigenous peoples, seniors, financially disadvantaged...etc. The Saskatchewan Lotteries Community Grant Program is guided by the following:
The goal of the program is to get people involved in sport, culture and recreation activities by enabling communities to address the needs of local residents. This program is a partnership among Sask Sport Inc., SaskCulture Inc. and the Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association Inc. and is administered by the City of Lloydminster. 2022-2023 Project Cycle: Please submit your completed Community Grant Project Report Form and supporting documentation by April 30, 2023. Final Report Calculation Sheet 2023-2024 Project Cycle: Second call for Saskatchewan Lotteries applications. The funds have changed from the original scope. Organizations are encouraged to call or email the Family and Community Support Services Team to discuss funding limitations. Application submissions are open from Monday, February 13 and close Friday, March 24, 2023. Applicants who would like assistance with their application are advised to schedule an appointment 2 weeks prior to deadline. |
Safe and Healthy Communities Grant |
The City of Lloydminster receives funds from tobacco and cannabis retailers through business licenses fees which are then distributed to local non-profit organizations or schools through this grant. This grant, formerly known as the Tobacco Reduction Grant has now widened its scope to include all addictive substance. Now referred to as The Safe and Healthy Communities Grant (SHG) it is a community grant program with the goal of enhancing the health, wellness, and safety of residents.
