Lloydminster, AB/SK – On September 5, 2024, at approximately 9:15 a.m., Lloydminster RCMP received a call regarding a male at a residence near 45th Avenue and 47 Street in Lloydminster, potentially possessing a handgun. The male had been posting videos to social media of himself with a possible firearm.
Lloydminster RCMP General Investigation Section members were able to determine the male's exact location, and he was arrested at a nearby residence shortly after the original call.
Lloydminster RCMP is still actively investigating this matter and is completing a search warrant for the residence in question. Charges are pending against the male suspect. Lloydminster RCMP advises that there are no concerns for the public's safety at this time.
