Back to SearchLloydminster, AB/SK - Lloydminster City Council has approved the Recognition of Members of Council Policy (Policy 110-01).
Administration made changes to reflect proclamations as the highest standard of recognition from Council, along with a commitment from Council that Administration will work to ensure community groups and individuals are uniquely recognized for their community service.
Under the new policy, all requests for proclamation must be submitted before October of the prior year to allow Council and Administration time to consider and schedule each request.
“With this policy we have created a framework to equitably recognize community groups and leaders while adding clarity and structure to our current proclamation program,” said Mayor Gerald Aalbers.
