Lloydminster, AB/SK – The City of Lloydminster has implemented a city-wide fire ban that includes all backyard fires, wood-burning smokers and charcoal appliances. This ban is effective immediately and will remain in effect until further notice and supersedes any previous fire restrictions.
The decision to implement this ban comes as a result of the dry weather conditions that have persisted in the region, leading to an increased risk of fires.
The ban prohibits:
- all outdoor fires, including backyard fire pits,
- charcoal barbecues, and
- wood-burning appliances such as smokers.
The City of Lloydminster is committed to ensuring the safety of its residents, and this ban is an important step in that effort.
