Lloydminster, AB/SK – Lloydminster City Council approved the two remaining 2024 Street Improvement Program contracts in the city’s ongoing effort to maintain road infrastructure, further ensuring residents' and visitors' safety, commuting efficiency and overall well-being.
Awarded to ASL Paving Ltd., one portion of the 2024 Street Improvement Program will see the rehabilitation of 40 Avenue, targeting repairs between 52 Street and 57 Street. This portion of work is expected to be completed by mid-July.
The Lloydminster company will also rehabilitate the existing asphalt concrete pavement, concrete curb and gutter and sidewalks to adequate levels of service for residents and businesses throughout the following areas:
- 50 Avenue from 52 Street to 54 Street and 55 Street to 57 Street
- 53 Avenue from 23 Street to 25 Street
- 44 Street from 75 Avenue to west of 80 Avenue
- 27 Street from 49 Avenue to dead end
This portion of the 2024 program is expected to be completed by the end of August.
