
Lloydminster, AB/SK – Patrons are now required to provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test result administered within 72 hours before entering liquor and cannabis stores within the City of Lloydminster.
The Government of Saskatchewan amended its COVID-19 public health order on Thursday, November 25, 2021, to include standalone and integrated liquor and cannabis establishments licensed by the Saskatchewan Liquor Gaming Authority or a similar licence with Alberta Gaming Liquor and Cannabis.
Under the previous public health order, only liquor and cannabis retailers on the Saskatchewan side of the border were patrons required to provide proof of vaccination or a negative test result.

Proof of vaccination or negative test requirements
A provincial requirement for proof of vaccination or negative test will be implemented for public access to a list of establishments, businesses and event venues that bring groups of people together, including:
- Seated dining in restaurants, including cafeterias, fast food restaurants, and restaurants in hotels or other lodgings, but excluding food courts;
- Nightclubs, bars, taverns and other licensed establishments;
- Event and entertainment venues, including conference centres, casinos, bingo halls and other gaming establishments, theatres, concert venues, live-music venues;
- indoor facilities hosting ticketed sporting events; and
- Indoor fitness centres and gyms.
Proof of vaccination is not required for:
- Retail businesses, including grocery stores;
- Places of worship when the place is being actively used for activities of worship, worship or spiritual services, and ceremonies;
- Health care services, professional services, or personal services;
- Public libraries
- Hotels or other lodgings;
- Facilities hosting non-ticketed amateur sporting events, including youth athletics and recreational leagues;
- Private gatherings held at public venues, such as weddings and funerals; and
- Private gatherings held at a private residence.
Children under the age of 12 are exempt from the proof of vaccination or negative test requirement.
