Lloydminster, AB/SK – East and westbound traffic along Highway 16 (44 Street) from 59 Avenue through 75 Avenue is scheduled to flip from the south side of the highway to the north by the morning commute on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, weather permitting.
Once Phase II begins, business access along Highway 16 south will be restricted from the highway for east- and westbound motorists, allowing crews to work in a safe work environment while completing multiple tasks at one time.
Until traffic flow flips from the south to the north, Phase I traffic plans remain in effect. Motorists are reminded that left-hand turns to access businesses to the south of Highway 16 are not permitted within the construction site.

The traffic accommodation strategy continues to be reviewed and refined where needed. To review the traffic accommodation plans, visit Lloydminster.ca/44St-Rehabilitation. Anyone who finds gaps in the traffic accommodations, please contact Engineering.
Motorists are reminded to allow extra time for travel, slow down when driving in construction zones, and obey all signs, detours, and barriers.
