Lloydminster, AB/SK – The City of Lloydminster’s Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) Department has published a new Lloyd Supports: Community Services Directory, designed to aid residents, newcomers and area stakeholders in locating key social resources.
In mid 2018, the City of Lloydminster published a public survey regarding access to local services and satisfaction with the Social Services Roadmap Directory. Building on the feedback received, FCSS staff have adjusted public-awareness and distribution approaches, as well as directory content.
“Over the past five years, the Community Service Directory has been proven to be a valuable, widely utilized resource for connecting people with supports and services,” said Patrick Lancaster, Manager of Social Programming and Services. “The new directory has been designed around functionality and efficiency. With 26 easily identifiable categories and 99 service entries, the directory aims to connect individuals while building strength in the community.”
The new Lloyd Supports: Community Services Directory can be accessed online via smartphone or desktop at www.lloydminster.ca/LloydSupports. Print copies are available at City of Lloydminster facilities and local non-profit organizations.
Community members are invited to the official launch event this Friday, April 12, 2019 at 1:20-2:30 p.m. at City Hall: Council Chambers. This event includes a message from the City of Lloydminster, an opportunity to network with local non-profits and refreshments.
