Lloydminster, AB/SK – The Lloydminster Fire Services is looking to acquire five paid-on-call firefighters.
Since 1930, the Lloydminster Fire Services has played an integral role in serving the community. Those recruited will add to the current 51 skilled front-line service members trained to meet industry standards, and above all else, protect the community and neighbouring regions.
Operating from two stations, Lloydminster Fire Services employs full-time and paid-on-call firefighters ready to respond to any emergency and provide non-emergency services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Members of the Lloydminster Fire Services respond to:
- residential and industrial fires;
- urban and wetland fires;
- motor vehicle collisions;
- water and ice rescue; and
- other emergency incidents and events.
Non-emergency services include community events, school presentations and other public awareness campaigns in line with emergency services.
As a member of the Lloydminster Fire Services, crew members are provided ongoing professional development opportunities in firefighting, fire prevention, medical response, and search and rescue techniques.
