Public Notice: Manufactured Homes Assessment Bylaw Amendment (Bylaw 25-2023)

Intent: Bylaw No. 25-2023, Manufactured Homes Assessment Bylaw Amendment

To make amendments to Bylaw No 26-2018 Manufactured Homes Assessment Bylaw as a result of updates to The Lloydminster Charter. 

Background: The Lloydminster Charter was updated on January 1, 2023. As a result, some of our existing bylaws require updating. Section 245 in the Lloydminster Charter no longer exists due to the Charter updates and reference to it has been removed from the Bylaw. The name of the penalty bylaw referenced in this Bylaw has been updated to reflect the most current version. The definitions for Assessed Person, Designated Manufactured Homes, and Manufactured Home Community, are now defined in the Municipal Government Act instead of the Charter. This is a general housekeeping item to amend verbiage, legislative references, and definitions within the Bylaw. This was presented to the committee at the Governance and Priorities Committee meeting on July 10, 2023.
