Rec & Culture Facility Fees, Rates to See Slight Increase

Lloydminster, AB/SK – City of Lloydminster facility users will see a slight increase in fees over the next two years after City Council approved the recommended changes to the 2020 to 2021 Recreation and Culture Facility Fees and Rental Rates on December 16, 2019.

The changes to the facility fees and rental rates will be effective as follows:

BAC

Facility users will see a 25-cent fee increase (except students aged 13-17) for a single admission rate in 2020 and will go unchanged in 2021. Memberships, school rates and birthday parties will see varying increases.

SSC

Users will see a 25-cent increase on fitness and activity passes in 2020 while student passes will not increase through to 2021. Memberships (including joint and group) and childminding increases will vary.

Meeting Rooms

Three of the City’s nine meeting rooms will see rental rates increase in 2020. Depending on the length of the agreed rental, the increase ranges from $6 to $50.

LGCC

Green fees and a season pass (not limited to all age groups) will see a minimum increase of 2.5 per cent in 2020. The squash court fees will remain the same in 2020 except for the introduction of a $15 per hour rental fee.
