
Lloydminster, AB/SK – The Youth Graffiti Cleanup program received the Award of Excellence for its involvement in strengthening ties between youth and community groups while addressing local social needs.
On behalf of the Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) Association of Alberta, President Karen Rosvold presented the award to the Lloydminster Community Youth Centre, Lloydminster Home Depot, Art Soul Life Creative Studio and FCSS Lloydminster during the Monday, November 30, 2020, Council meeting.
The program, which supports FCSS’s goal of enhancing individuals, families, and communities’ social well-being through prevention, is one of two provincial recipients in a city with a population between 20,000 and 80,000.
Heading into its sixth year, FCSS Lloydminster and its community partners look forward to 2021. Youth volunteers can sign up by calling the Lloydminster Community Youth Centre at 587-789-1600, whereas adult volunteers may contact FCSS Lloydminster at 780-875-6184 Ext. 2919 or email fcss@lloydminster.ca.
