The Lloydminster Cultural and Science Centre (LCSC) is a hub for art, culture and history in the community.
While the LCSC is permanently closed, it will be moving to 4207 44 Street, a newly constructed building by Musgrave Agencies, by mid-2021.
In October 2019, the City of Lloydminster was presented with a report by Cornerstone Planning Group detailing the numerous challenges faced by the building.
The relocation of the LCSC will provide a permanent gallery space to feature stories and artifacts relating to the Lloydminster and region’s history. A large travelling gallery will enable the LCSC to host travelling exhibits from across Canada and the world and host shows/displays from our local art community. A larger space for our archives will enable the LCSC to create a reading room to host researchers and volunteers. We will be able to showcase our heritage collections to tell the history of our community better. Services, such as education programs, rentals, archives, and art classes, will resume in the new facility.
