The City of Lloydminster contracts the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) to provide municipal police services.

Report a Crime or Concern
Knowing who to contact helps ensure your concern reaches the right service.
Call 911 in an emergency
Call 911 when there is:
- An immediate threat to someone’s safety
- A crime in progress
- A serious public safety risk
Stay in a safe location and be prepared to provide:
- Your location
- Your contact information
- What is happening
- Descriptions of people or vehicles involved
- Direction of travel, if applicable
Answer any questions from the 911 operator and follow their instructions.
Currently, Lloydminster 911 cannot receive text messages from the general public. When faced with an emergency, please call 911.
Non-emergency police matters
Contact the Lloydminster RCMP non-emergency line at 780-808-8400 for suspected criminal activity or other police matters that do not require an emergency response.
Examples include:
- Theft that has already occurred
- Fraud
- Vandalism
- Suspicious activity that is not in progress
- Non-emergency traffic offences
- General police assistance
When reporting a concern, be prepared to provide:
- Date and time
- Location
- Details about what occurred
- Available evidence, if applicable
- Your contact information for followup
Is it a bylaw concern?
Some concerns are handled by the City of Lloydminster’s Municipal Enforcement team rather than the RCMP.
Examples include:
- Noise complaints
- Animals at large
- Parking offences
- Traffic safety offences
- Trespassing
- Littering
- Loitering
- Animal Protection Act concerns
