Community Cleanup is an annual event. Throughout the winter, litter has accumulated in greenspaces and neighbourhoods throughout the City. We encourage residents to take part in cleaning and beautifying the community.
We have two events occurring this year, Household Hazardous Waste Round-Up and Pitch-In Week. Please read below for more information about each.
Household Hazardous Waste Round-Up: May 7, 2022 |
Household Hazardous Waste Roundup is an annual event hosted by the partnership of the City of Lloydminster, RM of Britannia, RM of Manitou Lake, RM of Hillsdale and the Household Hazardous Waste Roundup Committee. The purpose of this event is to provide residents from Lloydminster and the surrounding area the opportunity to dispose of their waste safely. This year, the event will be held on May 7, 2022 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Lloydminster Exhibition Grounds. A BBQ is available by donation. Proceeds will go to a selected non-profit organization. We are only accepting household quantities. Acceptable items include:
If you need free pick-up, please call 780-872-1136 before 6pm on Friday, May 6 to arrange. |
Pitch-In Week: May 1-8, 2022 |
Between May 1 and 8, 2022 residents are encouraged to join the spring cleaning efforts. Simple actions such as picking litter, cleaning your yard, sweeping your driveway and sidewalks go a long way when it comes to community beautification. To help your efforts, the City of Lloydminster has prepared Pitch-In Kits.
Beginning April 4th, you can reserve your kit online, or by contacting the Waste Services team. Kit registration deadline is April 20, 2022, limited number available at first-come-first-serve basis. Due to COVID-19 and social distancing protocols, Pitch-In kits are available on a household/cohort basis only. Kits can be picked up from the Operations Centre between Monday and Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. from April 25 to 29, 2022. Residents wishing to pitch-in without reserving kits are reminded to practice safety measures while volunteering. View the Safety Orientation for more information. |
