Lloydminster Fire Department has 51 skilled front-line service members trained to meet industries standards. The Lloydminster Fire Department operates as a composite fire department with a mixture of full time and paid, on-call firefighters. The department has a full-time fire station operating 24-7, ready to provide emergency and non-emergency services.

2023 Fire Prevention Week | ||||||||||
During Fire Prevention Week, the Lloydminster Fire Department reminds residents advanced planning is critical to avoiding tragedy during a fire. It is also critical to develop an escape plan with multiple exits and ensure all smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are functional. The Lloydminster Fire Department is once again teaming up with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) to celebrate over 100 years of Fire Prevention Week, October 8-14, 2023. This year’s campaign, Cooking safety starts with YOU, aims to educate everyone about simple but important actions they can take to keep themselves and those around them safe from cooking fires. Low-hazard fireworks are not permitted to be set off within Lloydminster city limits. If found to be setting off fireworks you are in contravention of the bylaw and could be subject to a fine.
