49 Ave railway crossing to close for maintenance: June 25-27

Lloydminster, AB/SK – The City of Lloydminster is advising motorists the railway crossing on 49 Avenue (between 51 Street and 52 Street) will close for maintenance beginning at 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2022. The closure is scheduled until 5:30 p.m. on Monday, June 27, 2022, weather permitting.

Canadian National will perform a complete removal of the crossing surface, rails, ties and track ballast down to subgrade. The crossing will then be rebuilt with new material. During the maintenance project, there will be no access to thru traffic.

Motorists are advised to follow the marked detour signage and to drive courteously when driving around or through work zones.
