Public Hearings Re: Bylaw Amendments

1. A public hearing was held regarding Bylaw 22-2019, being a bylaw to amend approximately 0.234 hectares (0.58 acres) of part of Parcel B, Plan 74B09143 within S.E.1/4Sec.02-Twp.50-Rge.28-W3M on Map 2 - Future Land Use Concept in Bylaw 01-2013 from Residential to Parks, Trails and Open Spaces. One member of the public spoke in favour of the proposed amendment. No members of the public were present to oppose the amendment.  Council later granted the second, third and final reading to Bylaw 22-2019.

2. A public hearing was held regarding Bylaw 23-2019, being a bylaw to amend approximately 3.00 hectares (7.43 acres) of All of Parcel B, Plan 74B09143 and Lot 2, Block 37, Plan 79B17275 and Lot C, Block 37, Plan BM2070 and Lot B, Block 44, Plan BM2070 all within S.E.1/4Sec.02-Twp.50-Rge.28-W3M on Land Use Map, being Part IV to Bylaw 5-2016 from R4 - Medium Density Residential District to RMH - Residential Manufactured Home District and Urban Park District. No member of the public was in attendance to speak in favour or oppose the amendment. Council later granted the second, third and final reading to Bylaw 23-2019.

3. A public hearing was held regarding Bylaw 24-2019, being a bylaw to close approximately 0.045 hectares (0.11 acres) of part of Lane, Plan 8140V and Lot 3, Block 23, Plan 8140V in the N.E.1/4 Sec.01-Twp.50-Rge.01W4M. No member of the public was in attendance to speak in favour or oppose the amendment. Council later granted the second, third and final reading to Bylaw 24-2019.

4. A public hearing was held regarding Bylaw 25-2019, being a bylaw to amend approximately 0.05 ha (0.137 ac) of part of Lane, Plan 8140V and Lot 3, Block 23, Plan 8140V in the N.E.1/4 Sec.01-Twp.50-Rge.01W4M on Map 2 - Future Land Use Concept in Bylaw 01-2013 to Commercial. No member of the public was in attendance to speak in favour or oppose the amendment. Council later granted the second, third and final reading to Bylaw 25-2019.

5. A public hearing was held regarding Bylaw 26-2019, being a bylaw to amend approximately 0.05 hectares (0.137 acres) of part of Lane, Plan 8140V and Lot 3, Block 23, Plan 8140V in the N.E.1/4 Sec.01-Twp.50-Rge.01W4M on Land Use Map, being Part IV to Bylaw 5-2016 to C5 - Service Commercial. No member of the public was in attendance to speak in favour or oppose the amendment. Council later granted the second, third and final reading to Bylaw 26-2019.

Operations

1. Council approved the award of the East Drainage Channel Rehabilitation – 40 Avenue Crossing to Rusway Construction Ltd. of Lloydminster, AB, in the amount of $589,497,90, excluding GST, to be allocated from the 2019 Capital Budget Project No.: 1813613. In addition, Council approved a contingency allowance of 10% in the amount of $58,949,79, excluding GST, to be allocated from 2019 Capital Budget Project No.: 1813613 and the reallocation of $125,000 from the Stormwater Management Reserve to 2019 Capital Budget Project No.: 1813613.

2. Council approved the award of the Airport Emergency Generator Upgrade Installation project to ATCO Electric Ltd. of Lloydminster, AB, in the amount of $81,235, excluding GST, to be allocated from the 2019 Capital Budget Project No.: 1834001. In addition, Council approved a contingency allowance of 15%in the amount of $12,185.25, excluding GST to be allocated from the 2019 Capital Budget Project No.: 1834001. Council further approved the reallocation of $21,000 from the Transportation Capital Reserve to 2019 Capital Budget Project No.: 1834001.
