Lloydminster, AB/SK – Under the direction of the Government of Saskatchewan, the City of Lloydminster is advising residents the maximum allowable number for private indoor gatherings will decrease to 10 people effective Friday, November 6, 2020.
In a media release dated November 3, 2020, the Saskatchewan government announced gatherings would decrease to 10 people, down from 15, and this limit includes those who ordinarily reside in the same dwelling.
Any event occurring in a private dwelling and any outbuildings (garages, etc.), including weddings, religious gatherings and funerals, must abide by the 10-person gathering limit.
The 10-person limit does not apply to households with more than 10 family members living in the same residence.
In addition, the Government of Saskatchewan announced effective Friday, November 6, 2020, mandatory masking in all indoor spaces for Saskatoon, Regina and Prince Albert. Although masking is not compulsory in the City of Lloydminster, provincial health officials are strongly recommending people wear a non-medical mask anywhere outside the home to reduce the transmission of COVID-19.
