Lloydminster, AB/SK – Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe and Saskatchewan’s Chief Medical Health Officer, Dr. Saqib Shahab, announced the current public health order and health measures remain in effect until Friday, March 19, 2021. At that time, both items will be re-evaluated.
Applicable to the City of Lloydminster in its entirety, the public health measures include:
- Private, indoor gatherings are limited to immediate household members only.
- Exceptions may apply to anyone living alone or those who require a caregiver or service repairs.
- Outdoor gatherings with up to 10 people are permitted.
- Physical distancing between households must be maintained.
- Direction for:
- licensed establishments;
- sports, fitness and dance;
- places of worship;
- retail spaces; and
- mandatory masking.
- All non-essential interprovincial travel is discouraged.
Health officials also remind those who are feeling unwell to stay home and avoid large gatherings.
The current public health order was initially signed in mid-December 2020 and has seen two extensions, while the guidelines were last updated on January 12, 2021.
