Public Presentations

Library Director Cheryl Sikora presented a 2023 year in review for the Lloydminster Public Library.

Administration Presentations

The Lloydminster RCMP detachment commander presented the detachment’s quarterly report. The information included topics such as staffing, year-end crime statistics for the 2023 calendar year, an update on the 2023/24 priorities, and an update from the school resource officers. Administration presented the Alberta Emergency Management Agency’s audit of the City of Lloydminster’s emergency management program. The audit included four sections: bylaws/orders, emergency plan, exercises and training requirements. The Committee accepted the audit findings as information.
Administration presented the information received from an in-person meeting with WestJet following the airline’s decision to discontinue its WestJet Link services to Calgary.
Administration presented an update on the 2023 capital infrastructure projects and its first look at the 2024 capital infrastructure projects. The Committee accepted the presentation as information.
Administration presented additional information pertaining to the project scope and costs to replace the Lloydminster Golf & Curling Centre maintenance shop (approved 2024 capital project). The Committee accepted the presentation as information.

Governance and Priorities Committee Matters

Administration presented a draft Purchasing Card Policy. The Committee accepted the draft policy and directed Administration to bring the item forward at a future Council meeting for a decision.

The next Council meeting is scheduled for Monday, February 26, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. via livestream and in person.
