Administration Presentations

The Lloydminster RCMP detachment commander presented the detachment’s quarterly report. The information included topics such as staffing, year-end crime statistics for the 2023 calendar year, an update on the 2023/24 priorities, and an update from the school resource officers. Administration presented the Alberta Emergency Management Agency’s audit of the City of Lloydminster’s emergency management program. The audit included four sections: bylaws/orders, emergency plan, exercises and training requirements. The Committee accepted the audit findings as information.
- Administration presented the information received from an in-person meeting with WestJet following the airline’s decision to discontinue its WestJet Link services to Calgary.
- Administration presented an update on the 2023 capital infrastructure projects and its first look at the 2024 capital infrastructure projects. The Committee accepted the presentation as information.
- Administration presented additional information pertaining to the project scope and costs to replace the Lloydminster Golf & Curling Centre maintenance shop (approved 2024 capital project). The Committee accepted the presentation as information.
Governance and Priorities Committee Matters

Administration presented a draft Purchasing Card Policy. The Committee accepted the draft policy and directed Administration to bring the item forward at a future Council meeting for a decision.
The next Council meeting is scheduled for Monday, February 26, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. via livestream and in person.
