Lloydminster, AB/SK – East and westbound traffic along Highway 16 (44 Street) is scheduled to flip from the south to the north side of the highway before motorists drive to work on the morning of Tuesday, September 7, 2021, weather permitting.
Crews completed the final pavement markings associated with Phase I of the rehabilitation project, allowing the City of Lloydminster to transition east and westbound traffic flow to the north side of Highway 16 between 59 Avenue and 75 Avenue.
The City of Lloydminster reminds motorists to carefully drive while travelling through the construction zone and adhere to all posted signage. This is especially important as traffic flow alternates to the opposite side of the highway, and new directional signage is placed.

The traffic accommodation strategy continues to be reviewed and refined where needed. To review the traffic accommodation plans, visit Lloydminster.ca/44St-Rehabilitation. Anyone who finds gaps in the traffic accommodations, please contact Engineering.
Motorists are reminded to allow extra time for travel, slow down when driving in construction zones, and obey all signs, detours, and barriers.
