Unforeseen circumstances surrounding the final paving of Phase I have delayed transitioning traffic to the north side of Highway 16 (44 Street) to the week of August 23, 2021.
In the meantime, the highway rehabilitation project will continue on various sections that will not impact the flow of traffic on the south side of Highway 16.
Once Phase II begins, business access along Highway 16 south will be restricted from the highway for east- and westbound motorists, allowing crews to work in a safe work environment while completing multiple tasks at one time.

The traffic accommodation strategy continues to be reviewed and refined where needed. To review the traffic accommodation plans, visit Lloydminster.ca/44St-Rehabilitation. Anyone who finds gaps in the traffic accommodations, please contact Engineering.
Motorists are reminded to allow extra time for travel, slow down when driving in construction zones, and obey all signs, detours, and barriers.
