Background
The nation-wide Canada 150 art project aims to create murals in 150 communities across Canada, each consisting of hundreds of four-by-four inch tiles painted by residents and assembled by Mural Mosaic, an Alberta art firm.
Each mural is designed as a single piece of a Canada-wide whole, with a unifying railway theme acknowledging the railway’s role in connecting Canada. If it were joined, the entire project will span over 365 metres.
The completed mural will be unveiled Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in City Hall.
