Lloydminster, Alta – The Lloydminster RCMP is holding two community Town Hall meetings at the Legacy Centre located at 5101 46 Street, Lloydminster, AB on Wed. Jan. 15 at 12:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
“These Town Hall meetings will give the Lloydminster RCMP Detachment opportunities to engage with diverse cross sections of the community,” according to Insp. Lee Brachmann, Lloydminster RCMP Detachment Commander. “The purpose is not simply to hear concerns, but to actively listen and partner with the community in a collaborative way to jointly shape the direction of police services in Lloydminster.”
Lloydminster Mayor Gerald Aalbers said it is important the community voice be heard as the RCMP develops plans and priorities for 2020, adding, ”whether on the streets or integrated into the daily lives of our youth through school programming, the RCMP plays an essential role in the safety and growth of our city. As a community, we must unite and continue to do what we can to bolster the efforts and services provided by the RCMP.”
The information gathered at this meeting will assist the Lloydminster RCMP Detachment planning process and priorities for the next fiscal year.
