Lloydminster, AB/SK – To facilitate more robust rehabilitative work along 49 Avenue, the roadway between 29 Street and 32 Street will close to thru-traffic sometime throughout the week of June 6, 2022.
Once closed, until late June, driveway access for residents will be affected intermittently. Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout construction, and waste collection will continue services as per usual.
In conjunction with ASL Paving Ltd., the City of Lloydminster will rehabilitate the roadway infrastructure including the road surface, curb, gutter and sidewalks within the three-block neighbourhood as part of the 2022 Street Improvement Program. Landscaping will take place once the construction phase is completed.
Motorists are reminded to allow extra time for travel, slow down when driving in construction zones, and obey all signs, detours, and barriers.
Other areas included in this year’s Street Improvement Program, including traffic accommodation plans as they become available, can be found at Lloydminster.ca/SIP.
