Galleries |
Our permanent Heritage Gallery examines the history of Lloydminster from settlement to present day. Archival photographs and historic artefacts bring to light not only the story of the Barr Colonists and early settlers, but also later improvements in domestic life and area industries. The exhibit engages with the impact that colonization had on local Indigenous group. The gallery will have the ability to rotate artifacts over the years, keeping content fresh by circulating our collection of almost 20,000 objects. Family-friendly interactives have been developed to engage children while they learn about Lloydminster’s past. The Temporary Gallery hosts both travelling exhibitions from museums throughout Canada as well as in-house curated shows that circulate artifacts from our collection or can showcase local and regional artists. Find exhibit listings and gallery submission information on our Exhibits page. |
