The Grease Beast is a pollution prevention campaign to help educate residents on the harmful impacts products can have on plumbing systems.
Wastewater Treatment Facility
In April 2017, Lloydminster City Council passed a motion officially naming the wastewater treatment facility as its No. 1 infrastructure priority. This project will remain the City of Lloydminster’s highest priority until requirements are fulfilled.
Residential Curbside Collection
The Curbside Collection Program was introduced in April 2013. Since then, the program has grown to more than 8,300 residential properties and has diverted over 26,000 tonnes from the landfill.
Pitch-In Week and Household Hazardous Waste Roundup
Each year, the City of Lloydminster partners with local schools and organizations to do a little spring cleaning around the community during Pitch-In Week. Sanitary kits are provided and many organizations and businesses challenge their competitors to help beautify the city.
Household Hazardous Waste Roundup is an annual partnership between the City of Lloydminster, RM of Britannia, RM of Manitou Lake, RM of Hillsdale, and provides residents from the area the opportunity to dispose of their waste safely.
