Lloydminster, AB/SK –  On September 5, 2024, at approximately 9:15 a.m., Lloydminster RCMP received a call regarding a male at a residence near 45^th Avenue and 47 Street in Lloydminster, potentially possessing a handgun. The male had been posting videos to social media of himself with a possible firearm.  

Lloydminster, AB/SK - On Aug. 31, 2024, Lloydminster RCMP received a report of a missing youth. 15-year-old Tracy Buffin was last seen in Lloydminster on July 27, 2024. She is believed to be in the Calgary area.

Lloydminster, AB/SK – In preparation for cooler temperatures, the Lloydminster Spray Park in Bud Miller All Seasons Park will close for the season beginning Monday, September 9, 2024, and looks forward to welcoming everyone back in Summer 2025.

Lloydminster non-profit organizations have until Monday, September 30, 2024, to apply for property tax exemptions.

G-Force Diesel Service has confirmed its place among a growing list of local businesses to be prominently recognized within Lloydminster’s premier indoor ice and event facility, the Cenovus Energy Hub, currently under construction.

With a contribution of $40,000 G-Force Diesel has secured naming rights to one of 11 athlete dressing rooms currently available for sponsorship within the new facility.

On June 11, 2024, at approximately 7:06 a.m., Lloydminster RCMP received reports of a home invasion within the community. Upon arrival, RCMP located two individuals with gunshot wounds, who were airlifted to the hospital. 

Lloydminster, Alta. – On August 7, 2024, Lloydminster RCMP General Investigation Section executed a search warrant at a residence located in East Lloydminster. During the search, officers discovered items consistent with drug trafficking.

Lloydminster, AB/SK - ASL Paving Ltd. will conduct overnight work at 80 Avenue and 44 Street intersection on August 15 and August 16, weather permitting. The night shift will commence at 9 p.m. and conclude at 7 a.m. On August 15, the planned activity includes milling the intersection and paving work on August 16.

Lloydminster, AB/SK – The City of Lloydminster has a new public art sculpture called Into the Mystic installed at 53 Avenue and 26 Street at Messum Park. The sculpture is the creation of local artist, Mick Classen, and is the newest addition to the City of Lloydminster's public art program.
