Administration Presentations

  1. Administration presented the 2024 Q1 Governance Documents Update, which outlines all governance documents reviewed, created or amended in the first quarter and all outstanding items. The Committee accepted the update as information.
  2. Administration presented the 2024 Q1 Procurement Update, outlining the procurement activity for the first quarter. The Committee accepted the update as information.
  3. Administration presented the Social Policy Framework Leadership Team - Draft Terms of Reference. The Committee accepted the report as information and directed Administration to bring the item forward to a future Council meeting for a decision.
  4. Administration presented a development permit application pertaining to a use approval  submitted to Planning Services located in the Direct Control 3 District (DC3) at 4215 70 Avenue, Lloydminster, Alta. The Committee accepted the report as information and directed Administration to bring the item forward to a future Council meeting for a decision.
  5. Administration presented proposed changes to the Downtown Façade and Building Improvement Program. The Committee accepted the report as information and directed Administration to bring the item forward to a future Council meeting for a decision.

Governance and Priorities Matters

  1. Administration presented proposed changes to the Land Sales Policy: (1) to allow city-owned land leases with the option to purchase, (2) to establish a land sales listing price committee. The Committee accepted the report as information and directed Administration to bring the item forward to a future Council meeting for a decision.
  2. Administration presented the draft Council Remuneration Policy, which proposes the mayor’s remuneration be based on 64.4% of the total average salary of that of a Saskatchewan and Alberta Minister; and the councillors’ remuneration be based on 38.2% of the salary of the mayor. The Committee accepted the report as information and directed Administration to bring the item forward to a future Council meeting for a decision.
  3. Administration presented proposed changes to the Subdivision and Development Appeal Board Bylaw. The Committee accepted the report as information and directed Administration to bring the item forward to a future Council meeting for a decision.

The next Council meeting is scheduled for Monday, April 29, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. via livestream and in person.
