City of Lloydminster launches 2027 municipal budget engagement campaign

Lloydminster, AB/SK – The City of Lloydminster is inviting residents to participate in the 2027 Budget Engagement campaign and share their priorities for municipal programs, services, and future investment.

Running through August 19, the engagement campaign provides residents with opportunities to share feedback that will help inform the development of the 2027 municipal budget.

"Municipal budgets impact the services residents rely on every day, from roads and parks to recreation facilities and emergency services," said Mayor Gerald Aalbers. "This engagement process gives residents an opportunity to share what matters most to them and help shape decisions that will support Lloydminster's future."

The budget engagement survey invites participants to provide feedback on current and desired service levels across several municipal service areas, including:

  • Transportation Services
  • Protective Services
  • Parks and Green Spaces
  • Leisure Services
  • Municipal funding and long-term budgeting

Feedback collected through the engagement process will be reviewed by Administration and used to help inform the draft 2027 municipal budget. All input received will be considered as City Council deliberates and makes final budget decisions.

Residents can participate in several ways:

  • Complete the online survey at YourVoiceLloyd.ca/2027Budget
  • Submit questions through the online Q&A tool available on the project webpage
  • Attend an upcoming in-person engagement event
  • Complete a paper survey available at City-owned facilities and the Lloydminster Public Library

Details about engagement opportunities, event dates, and participation options will be posted on the project webpage throughout the campaign.
