Demolition work underway at the Centennial Civic Centre

Lloydminster, AB/SK – Demolition of the Centennial Civic Centre began Wednesday, September 17. Work has temporarily paused after additional materials requiring specialized removal were identified within the structure.

The project site remains secure, and the identified materials are contained. There is no risk to the public at this time.

Abatement crews returned to the site Friday, September 18, to safely remove the materials. Demolition will resume once this work is complete.

As demolition progresses, similar pauses may be required if additional materials requiring specialized removal are identified.
