Free Car Seat Clinic coming to Bud Miller All Seasons Park on June 4

Lloydminster, AB/SK – The City of Lloydminster Municipal Enforcement team is partnering with Midwest Family Connections, Lloydminster Early Years Family Resource Centre, Lloydminster Fire Rescue, SGI, and the Saskatchewan Prevention Institute to host a free Car Seat Clinic focused on child passenger safety.
The event will take place Thursday, June 4, 2026, from 1 to 6 p.m. at the Group Picnic Area #3 Parking Lot at Bud Miller All Seasons Park.

Residents are invited to bring their vehicles for free car seat inspections and installation guidance from trained professionals. The clinic is designed to help caregivers ensure car seats are properly installed and appropriate for a child’s age, height, and weight.

Prior to inspections beginning, attendees can enjoy a free community barbecue from 12 to 1 p.m. thanks to the Lloydminster and District Co-op.

“Even a properly purchased car seat may not provide the intended protection if it is installed incorrectly,” said Tayte Goddard, Manager of Municipal Enforcement. “This clinic gives caregivers an opportunity to ask questions, learn proper installation techniques, and help keep children safer while travelling.”

The event is free to attend and open to all residents.
