Oct. 25-26 Halloween Event to support Cenovus Energy Hub

Lloydminster, AB/SK – The Friends of Cenovus Energy Hub, the fundraising committee for Cenovus Energy Hub, is excited to announce two thrilling Halloween events at Weaver Heritage Park on October 25 and 26. These events will offer Halloween lovers of all ages a spooktacular time, providing the perfect opportunity for families and community members to enjoy the season together.

Weaver Park Halloween Harvest

Families are invited to enjoy the Weaver Park Halloween Harvest on Saturday, October 26, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. This free event for children under six will feature many family-friendly activities, including Halloween crafts, a pumpkin patch, pumpkin painting, games, and a hay bale maze. The highlight of the afternoon will be the Children's Costume Contest at 3 p.m., where young participants can showcase their spooky outfits for a chance to win prizes.

Weaver Park After Dark

For those seeking a more spine-chilling experience, Weaver Park After Dark will occur on Friday, October 25, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday, October 26, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. This event, recommended for ages 14 and up, offers three separate haunted experiences designed to provide a night of fright and excitement. Youth under 16 must be accompanied by an adult for this eerie adventure.

These Halloween events mark the first of their kind at Weaver Heritage Park, one of Lloydminster's historic gems. Organizers hope to establish this as an annual tradition showcasing Lloydminster's vibrant community spirit. All proceeds will go to the Fill the Seats Campaign, which aims to raise $8 million for the new Cenovus Energy Hub recreation and events centre, which is currently under construction and set to open next year. 

Tickets are available at the door, but it is recommended that you purchase them in advance to secure your spot.
