Residents invited to share input on updated Southwest Area Structure Plan

Lloydminster, AB/SK – Residents are invited to review the draft Southwest Area Structure Plan (SWASP) and share their feedback until May 14, 2026.

The SWASP will provide long-term guidance for the development of approximately 17 quarter sections of land in the southwest portion of the city. An Area Structure Plan does not initiate development, which remains subject to developer interest and market conditions.

Following earlier engagement, the project team has refined the draft Future Land Use Concept and completed the draft document, which includes draft policies to guide future development.

Residents can learn more and provide feedback on the SWASP in several ways:

• Online: Visit yourvoicelloyd.ca/SWASP until May 14, 2026
• In person: April 28, 2026, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Servus Sports Centre, OTS Room (5202 12 St)
• Paper submissions: Available at City Hall (4420 50 Ave) and the Operations Centre (6623 52 St). Submissions must be received by midnight on May 14, 2026

Feedback collected during this phase will help inform the final plan before it is presented to Council for consideration.
