Lloydminster, AB/SK – As a result of budget deliberations held on November 8 and November 20, 2023, Lloydminster City Council approved the 2024 municipal budget, ensuring the municipality can continue to deliver essential services while advancing priorities outlined in Council’s 2022-2025 strategic plan.  

The recent resignation of Aaron Buckingham from Lloydminster City Council has created a vacancy on the council. With the regularly scheduled municipal election to be held on November 13, 2024, the Saskatchewan Government Relations Department strongly recommended that, as a city, we hold a byelection to fill the position before the November election.
