City of Lloydminster shares 2024 Annual Report

Lloydminster, AB/SK — The City of Lloydminster is pleased to share its 2024 Annual Report.

This report provides an overview of the City’s operations, achievements, and progress, as well as a detailed financial analysis and discussion. The Annual Report reflects the City's continued commitment to transparency and accountability, ensuring residents have insight into how public funds are utilized to enhance the quality of life in the community.

“The Annual Report is an important and effective way for us to demonstrate to residents how their tax dollars are invested and the progress we’ve made as a community,” said Mayor Gerald Aalbers. “I encourage all residents to take a few moments to review the report and learn more about the work being done every day to support a strong and growing Lloydminster.”

Some key highlights from the report include:

• Supporting the 2024 Saskatchewan Summer Games, which brought hundreds of athletes and visitors to Lloydminster.
• Successfully administering the 2024 civic by-election and general election, with nearly 5,300 ballots cast across both events.
• Making significant progress on Cenovus Energy Hub, including completion of the facility’s exterior, major interior concrete work, and site servicing.
• Recognizing significant capital grant revenues in 2024, with substantial funding secured in recent years to support the new Wastewater Treatment Facility and Cenovus Energy Hub.
