Downtown Area Redevelopment Committee seeking new members

Lloydminster, AB/SK – Residents passionate about community building and downtown revitalization are invited to apply for the Downtown Area Redevelopment Committee (DARC).

The City of Lloydminster is seeking three community members to serve on DARC, an advisory committee to City Council, and support the ongoing implementation of the Downtown Area Redevelopment Plan (DARP). Individuals interested in shaping the future of Downtown Lloydminster are encouraged to review the DARP prior to submitting an application.

Committee overview

The Downtown Area Redevelopment Committee is responsible for:

  • Monitoring and advancing the DARP Implementation Plan   
  • Working collaboratively to enhance the downtown experience
  • Providing semi-annual progress updates to the City of Lloydminster’s Executive Leadership Team and City Council, including identifying any support required to advance implementation

The application deadline is 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. Applications can be submitted online at Lloydminster.ca/DARC. Printed application forms are available by contacting the City’s Economic Development department at 780-871-8330 or by visiting City Hall (4420 50 Avenue).
