Ongoing traffic signal repair at 44 Street and 66 Avenue

Lloydminster, AB/SK – The City of Lloydminster is advising motorists of ongoing work at the intersection of 44 Street and 66 Avenue due to required traffic signal infrastructure repairs.

The City is working with a traffic signal contractor who will install a new base, base pole, and signal arm. Work is expected to begin next week as crews remove the existing infrastructure and pour a new concrete base. The concrete will require approximately one week to cure before installation of the new pole begins.

The intersection is expected to return to full operation during the week of December 8, weather and site conditions permitting.

Until repairs are complete, the intersection will remain in flash mode: yellow for east-west traffic and red for north-south traffic. All lanes will remain open, and temporary stop signs will be placed on the boulevard for north-south traffic.

Motorists are asked to use caution when travelling through the area.
